Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of the program this exciting opportunity exists for a person whose values align with Southlake’s purpose of building healthy communities through outstanding care, innovative partnerships and amazing people and has a desire to work collaboratively as part of the broader Southlake Leadership Team.
The Clinical Manager is responsible for the organization and leadership of all aspects within their clinical unit/area, which includes the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre (SRCC) Outpatient and Benign Haematology Clinics. The responsibilities include oversight of patient care delivery, operational planning, human resource development, financial management, quality management, education and research.
The incumbent will be an experienced health care professional with demonstrated oncology experience. The individual will have a proven ability to coordinate and direct all patient care related activities within their clinical area including the coordination of efficient patient flow activities, promotion of optimal patient care and clinical outcomes and collaboration with the Program Director and Interprofessional Team.
**Qualifications**:
- Registered in good standing with a Regulated Health Professional College required
- Baccalaureate Degree required
- Master’s Degree in a health related discipline preferred
- Dsouza Certification preferred
- Minimum 3 years recent experience working in an Inpatient Acute/Sub Acute setting with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities is required.
- Minimum 3 years recent and relevant management experience in oncology preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge in oncology clinical practice is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of Patient Flow experience at level of Manager or Director is preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in, customer service, analytical approach, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrates excellence in interpersonal, written and oral communication, coaching, mentoring and team building skills that facilitate positive interactions among all members of the health care team.
- Demonstrates superior understanding of systems, systems analysis techniques, value analysis process and continuous improvement principles and tools.
- Possesses highly developed analytical, problem solving, critical thinking skills.
