Assistant Teacher with French Language Proficiency

**Position Overview**:We are currently seeking a warm, reliable, and enthusiastic **part-time or** **full-time Assistant Teacher** who is **proficient in French**. This role will include supporting lead Montessori teachers in the classroom and **leading engaging, age-appropriate French lessons** for children ages 12 months to 6 years old.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the lead Montessori teacher in daily classroom activities and routines
- Assist in maintaining a clean, orderly, and developmentally appropriate learning environment
- Observe and record children’s progress, helping to tailor instruction to meet individual needs
- Prepare and deliver engaging French language lessons that promote listening, speaking, and cultural awareness
- Participate in team planning, communication with families, and school-wide events
- Collaborate with fellow educators to uphold the Montessori philosophy and values
- Attend meetings, trainings, and school functions as required
**Key Competencies**:
- Proficiency in French and ability to lead French lessons independently

- Commitment to supporting the classroom with initiative and care
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience working with children under 6 years old
- Familiarity with the Montessori method or interest in Montessori education
- French fluency or native proficiency
- Early Childhood Education coursework or certification a plus
- Montessori assistant training (AMI/AMS or equivalent) preferred but not required
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$36.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
