**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Supervision and Team Management**:

- Lead, mentor, and supervise the ground operation team to ensure daily operational goals are met.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide training, and address performance issues as needed.

2. **Customs Clearance Operations**:

- Oversee the end-to-end customs clearance process for e-commerce shipments.
- Monitor and manage the submission of customs documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, packing lists, ACI filings) for compliance with applicable regulations.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all customs declarations.

3. **Customer Communication and Reporting**:

- Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding customs clearance processes and shipment statuses.
- Provide daily reports to customers on the status of their shipments, including updates on delays or issues.
- Address problematic shipments promptly, ensuring issues are resolved and communicated to customers in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure all required information is provided for swift shipment clearance.

4. **Compliance and Regulations**:

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and international customs regulations, including tariff classifications, valuation, and trade agreements.
- Identify and resolve any compliance issues, ensuring adherence to CBSA and other regulatory authorities.
- Collaborate with internal compliance teams to implement and monitor new procedures.

5. **Process Optimization**:

- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of customs operations.
- Utilize automation tools to streamline data entry and submission processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.

6. **Issue Resolution**:

- Proactively identify potential delays or compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Escalate unresolved or critical issues to senior management with detailed analysis and proposed solutions.
- Work closely with brokers, carriers, and customs authorities to expedite the resolution of shipment problems.

7. **Stakeholder Coordination**:

- Liaise with brokers, carriers, and CBSA to resolve shipment issues.
- Ensure timely updates to customers and stakeholders regarding the status of shipments.

8. **Reporting and Documentation**:

- Maintain detailed records of customs transactions, including entry numbers, payments, and correspondence.
- Prepare regular reports on customs activities, operational performance, and compliance audits.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in customs clearance, logistics, or ground operations, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, tariffs, and trade compliance requirements.
- Experience supervising a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team and customer management.
- Ability to adapt to changing regulations and operational demands.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with automation systems for customs processes.
- Familiarity with international trade agreements and cross-border e-commerce operations.

**Work Environment**:

- Office and warehouse settings with some travel to customs and logistics facilities as needed.
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet operational requirements during peak periods.

**Salary**: 75K-80K

Pay: $75,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
