In this capacity, you will be at the centre of various strategic mandates relating to different areas of our department.
More specifically, your primary responsibility will be to perform all initiative-related project management activities, i.e.:
- Carry the project vision and ensure its alignment with the department’s vision
- Exercise leadership in order to rally the teams around a shared vision
- Contribute to the teams’ organization needed to achieve the objectives established, ensure compliance with the agreed upon directions to be taken and remain focused on the priorities.
- Organize, synchronize and facilitate planning, oversight and feedback activities involving multiple stakeholders.
- Share overall progress reports on a regular basis and with full transparency (assumptions, delivered values, deadlines, costs, quality, risks, issues, major roadblocks, progress toward and achievement of objectives, and benefits) by proposing a consolidated perspective and harmonized solutions showing an excellent grasp of the profession as well as a sense of urgency, when appropriate
- Establish resource and cost forecasts, including input from experts, including those in change management, when required
- Work closely and ensure good communication and daily relationships with internal and external partners, clients, managers, IT experts, HR etc.
- Contribute to and help the various teams manage risks, issues and roadblocks surrounding deliveries, and define the action plans needed to facilitate execution
- Actively participate in the transformation and change management plan and its rollout (communications, presentation to managers, etc.).
**Do you fit the profile?**
- University degree in administration, industrial relations or any other relevant field; a graduate degree would be an asset
- Five to ten years of relevant work experience in project management or a similar position
- Relevant experience in human resources would be a key asset
- Excellent command of French and English (oral and written) for frequent interaction with internal and external French
- and English-speaking colleagues or partners across Canada
- Sense of initiative, good judgment and autonomy
