We seek to promote daily involvement within the community, including opportunities for physical and emotional wellness, social and spiritual growth, and leisure and recreational activities. **About the Position**: The Primary Direct Support provides leadership to a team of Direct support professionals, overseeing the caseload for clients participating in a specific program area and reports to the program Manager. They provide direct support to clients and liaise with families and community partners. **Wage**: **$25.15 to $29.16 Hourly** ***Qualifications**: - Post-secondary degree/or a two-year diploma program, preferably in the Social Services field, with a preference to DSW, or enrolled in a related college or university program. - Minimum of two years' related experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in a residential and community setting - CPR, First Aid, NVCI - Must have an ‘G' class license - Experience supporting individuals with Dual Diagnosis, Mental Health & Addictions would be an asset. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**: - Experience providing leadership to a staff team and demonstrated working knowledge of individuals with diverse physical and mental health needs in a residential or community setting - Well developed verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to communicate respectfully, openly and honestly. - Ability to advocate for others - A creative problem solver - Ability to provide strong leadership to a team and promote a positive work environment **About Tri-County Mennonite Homes**: **What we Offer**: - Full-time, part-time opportunities - Pension plan - Supports worker enrollment in the DSW apprenticeship - Health and dental benefits - Short-term disability - Life insurance - Paid orientation - Training opportunities and career development - Employee appreciation lunches and events - Employee Assistance Program - A quality work life committee. - Tuition support programs - A positive and supportive working environment - Opportunities for advancement within the agency New employees will be required to complete a vulnerable sector check and TB test as part of the onboarding process.
