**About the role**
The Analyst, Crisis Simultion is accountable for supporting the planning and execution of testing exercises, develop, write, coordinate content for exercise pre-reading material and post-exercise reports, develop presentations for stakeholder outreach, knowledge sharing and other industry forums and performing research as needed to support the Center’s overall activities.
This role can be performed from our Ottawa or Toronto offices, following a hybrid model approach. This is a full-time permanent opportunity. #LI-Hybrid
**We trust you will be up to the challenge**
- Support the Centre in planning and running testing exercises across CDIC and with external stakeholders where relevant.
- Support the design and building of testing exercises, including development of exercise material, setting agendas for design meetings, document meeting minutes and tracking progress.
- Contribute to the identification and reporting of exercise observations, findings and recommendations.
- Research and identify practices for running simulation exercises and crisis planning.
- Compile and summarize information from surveys, questionnaires, reports and other sources of information and data as needed to support the Centre’s activities.
- Develop presentations for industry, knowledge sharing and other public forums.
- Maintain the Simulation Centre’s SharePoint portal.
- Document, collect and track action items from past exercises and summarize for quarterly reporting.

**We trust you will bring your expertise**
- An undergraduate degree in a business-related field (e.g. Finance/Banking, Risk Management, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics), or comparable experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, either directly or in a regulatory capacity, in roles involving accounting/valuation, financial analysis, treasury, supervision, financial stability, policy development, stress testing, enterprise risk management, asset-liability management/capital management, financial crisis management, market risk analysis, crisis simulations, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring or insolvency, internal audit or external audit, or related fields.
- Knowledge of CDIC, including its mandate, powers and operational requirements.
- Some experience in project management.
