**Veterinary Assistant**We are seeking a **VA** with a love for spending time enriching the lives of the animals within our care by providing a clean, stimulating, and healthy environment. You will have routine grooming, housekeeping and disinfection accountabilities such as kennel cleaning, laundry. Client administrative duties are paramount to the centre and therefore also to the success of this position.

**Please note**: The Government of Canada funded this job through the Canada Summer Jobs program. You must be aged between 15 and 30 and be legally entitled to work in Canada. International students are not eligible.

**Status**: Full time, Contract length: 8 weeks - 35 hours/week

**Rate**: $17.80/hour

**Location**: Leeds & Grenville Centre, Brockville, ON

**Are We a Match?**
- Animal care experience
- Open availability including weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Ability to lift 18 kg (40lbs) and pull 45 kg (100 lbs)
- Team player
- Certificate or College Diploma in Animal Care or working towards, preferred
- Previous clerical training and an asset
- Customer service experience an asset
- Between 15 and 30 years of age
- Legally entitled to work in Canada (which means you must have a valid Social Insurance Number)
