Job description
**THIS IS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR POTENTIAL MEDICAL SCHOOL CANDIDATES OR THOSE LOOKING FOR A CAREER IN ALLIED HEALTH FIELD. YOU HAVE TO BE IN TORONTO PHYSICALLY TO APPLY TO THIS POSITION AND A MINIMUM BACHELOR'S DEGREE IS REQUIRED.**

Starting salary for this position is $18-20 hour depending on prior experience.

REQUIREMENTS: have to be either someone who has higher education in a different field and is interested in a new long term employment, someone who aspires to pursue a career in healthcare and have completed your undergraduate education, or a graduate of an ophthalmic assistant/technician program.

You will be an integral part of a team helping us provide state-of-the-art care to our patients of all ages.

RESPONSIBILITIES: will include performing all of pre-testing (OCTs, Visual Fields, Auto-Refraction, Lensometry) as well as obtaining detailed/accurate history, measuring visual acuities, performing pupillary testing and administering dilating drops. Prefer someone who either knows or can be trained on performing Goldmann's applanation tonometry.

Has to be able to work under pressure, see large volumes of patients in a day, be an effective team member.

THIS IS NOT A MEDICAL ASSISTANT POSITION THUS GRADUATES OF MEDICAL ASSISTANT PROGRAMS WOULD NOT QUALIFY.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
