Viking Landscaping is looking to hire lead hands that take pride in their work and want to help envision, design and build all our landscaping services for the 2025 season. Job entails mainly the construction of patios, retaining walls, decks, fences, pergolas and the installation for sod, trees, shrubs, water and fire features as well as maintenance.

Applicants must:

- Be capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
- Have a valid driver's license and transportation to job sites all over town
- Have the ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as a part of a team.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
- Punctual, hard working, self-motivated, and driven to build great displays
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
- Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner.

**Summary**

In the role of Maintenance Lead Hand, you will oversee construction projects, ensuring quality control and adherence to budgetary constraints. Reporting to the Project Manager, your core skills in construction management software and supervising experience will be essential for effective team leadership. Your premium expertise in ProCore and Bluebeam will enhance project efficiency, while your relevant skills in blueprint reading and construction estimating will support accurate project execution. A valid driving license is required for site visits and coordination. Join us to lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality construction outcomes.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily operations and manage a team of maintenance workers to ensure efficient workflow.
- Utilize construction management software to track project progress and maintain quality control.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide maintenance activities.
- Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance projects, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a valid driving license for site visits.
- Train and mentor team members in construction practices and equipment usage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
