Boys & Girls Clubs Big Brothers Big Sisters is seeking individuals interested in the following position(s):
**Competition Number: PS0823- Part-Time Program Staff**
- Positions: 5- Status: Part-Time - 5 hours per week- Salary Range: $21.82 per hour**_
The key responsibilities of this position will include:_**
- Planning and delivering fun and safe recreational and educational afterschool programs to children ages 6 to 17 years.
- Providing direct supervision, behavior management, support and mentoring to children and youth ensuring positive relationships occur.
- Building relationships with children and youth in order to understand their individual and collective needs from the program.
- Maintaining up-to date required documentation and completing other required reporting.
- Completing tasks related to the daily routine including basic food preparation, serving and cleaning.
- Following all safety and cleaning protocols set out by AHS and the agency in order to safely run programming.
- NOTE: This position supports indigenous based programming including ceremonial smudging.

- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children and youth in a group setting.
- In process the completion of a degree or diploma in a human services field such as social work, child and youth care, education.
- Demonstrated an understanding of others and the ability to facilitate groups of children and youth.
- Demonstrated good communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to manage time with youth effectively and be results oriented.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
- Both a Police Information Check and a Child and Youth Intervention Record Screening no more than 6 months old are conditions of hire.
- Driver’s License and vehicle

**set shifts EACH week**:
**Position 1 - 1 day per week 5 hours**

Mondays 5 hours between 2:30pm-8:30pm**Position 2 - 1 day per week 5 hours**

Tuesday 5 hours between 2:30pm-8:30pm**Position 3 - 1 day per week 5 hours**

Wednesdays 5 hours between 2:30pm-8:30pm**Position 4 - 1 day per week 5 hours**

Thursdays 5 hours between 12:00pm-7:30pm**Position 5 - 1 day per week 5 hours**

Fridays 5 hours between 2:30pm-8:30pm-
