**Full Time, One Year Contract**
Geneva Centre for Autism is currently seeking a Lead Employment Facilitator as part of their new Autism Workforce Development Hub.

**The Role**:
The Lead Employment Facilitator will provide direct facilitation to youth and adults in GCA’s Employment program. The Lead Employment Facilitator will be responsible for assisting in the development of group-based employment training curriculum and creating a successful group learning experience. Similar to the Employment Facilitator, the Lead Employment Facilitator will also be responsible for implementing group-based employment training curriculum, individual employment skill building and on-site employment facilitation.
**Core Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)**:
- Provide facilitation and 1:1 coaching to participants in GCA’s Employment program
- Work closely with the Clinical Supervisor in the development, monitoring and updating of group based and individual employment curriculum
- Work closely with Employment Facilitators in implementing appropriate employment readiness skills and strategies designed to help youth and adults reach their employment goals in a group based and individual setting
- Assist in the intake and assessment of client’s skills, abilities, interests, strengths, and needs (in tandem/consultation with the Employment Consultant/ Clinical Supervisor)
- Effectively use (and mentor) ABA teaching strategies such as reinforcement, prompting, shaping, chaining, modeling, and fading
- Build rapport with clients to support progress
- Document Participant attendance and family contact in client database
- Demonstrates and explains effective curriculum and guidance strategies; models, supports, mentors, and guides the Employment Facilitators by:
- Maintaining regular communication/conduct meetings with external stakeholders as required
- Overseeing general operations of group and individual employment curriculum
- Writing reports and progress notes regarding client’s plans and progress as required
- Providing mentoring and collegial support for new staff and volunteers as required.
- Facilitating program planning with staff
- Taking part in leading and presenting during team meetings
- Ensuring that all materials and equipment are maintained, and teaching environment is tidy and safe.
- Collaborating with other team members
- Along with the Employment Consultant/Clinical Supervisor, participate actively in planning and presenting at staff meetings
- Regular communication with Clinical Supervisor/Employment Consultant on all aspects of the program
- Undergraduate degree or diploma from a recognized university or college in a field related (i.e., social services, psychology or ABA)
- Minimum 2 years working experience with youth and adults with developmental disabilities
- Minimum 1 year experience with employment counselling/coaching in a workplace setting
- Team lead/mentor experience an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) and skill building techniques (including communications) with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate activities and experiences to meet individual and group needs of all clients
- Effective ability to interact with others and deal with situations in ways that respect diverse backgrounds, experience and styles
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as a Lead/Mentor as well as independently
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and problem solving skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Satisfactory current Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
- Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19
- Ability to travel within GTA
- Effective ability to interact with others and deal with situations in ways that respect diverse backgrounds, experience and styles.

**Working Conditions**:
- Flexible hours of work may be required
- Ability to work independently
- Off-site client requirements (travel to employment partners, job sites, community)
- Outside normal working hours to meet client needs when necessary
- When necessary, must be able to wear a mask and shield
- Group-based setting
- Ability to bend, stop, lift to adult height (up to 20kg) and move furniture/equipment to prepare space for programming needs
- Must be willing to do cleaning duties
**Salary**: $63,873-$70,889
