We honour the dignity and uniqueness of each person through our core values of _Care, Connection _and_ Excellence._ **What we are hiring for**: We are currently hiring Full-time Permanent and Full-time Contract **Direct Support Professionals** for our locations across Lambton County. Direct Support Professionals make a difference in peoples' lives by: - Providing support to people with developmental disabilities in their homes and the community - Teaching and assisting with daily supports (ex. assistance with meal preparation, personal hygiene, medication administration, appointments, housekeeping responsibilities and money management) - Facilitating opportunities for individual skill development, independence, personal growth, cultivating relationships in their community and leisure activities as directed by the person **We provide supports in**: Alvinston, Brigden, Corunna, Forest, Petrolia, Sarnia, Oil City, Oil Springs, Watford and Wyoming. **What you will need**: Valid "G or G2" class license and reliable vehicle Be willing to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check Be legally entitled to work in Canada Current certification in First Aid/CPR required Current certification in NVCPI or willing to obtain Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is an asset Be comfortable with providing personal care and attending to medical needs of individuals **Compensation and scheduling**: - $22.27 - 22.93 per hour based on experience - Full-time - 40 hours per week including days, afternoons, weekends or nights **What we offer**: **_ Full-time Permanent_** - Health & Dental Benefits - Vacation and Health & Wellness Time - Short and Long-term Disability Coverage - Life Insurance - Group Pension Plan with Employer Contribution Matching - Employee Assistance Program **_ Full-time Permanent and Full-time Contract_** - Corporate Retail, Mobility and Entertainment Discounts - Training and Development Opportunities **About LCDS**: Lambton County Developmental Services started back in 1955 when a group of parents whose children with developmental disabilities came together while dreaming of a life without limitation for their loved ones.
