At Next Environmental Inc., we are specialists in Contaminated Sites investigation and remediation. We focus on properly understanding our clients' business goals and how we can help them navigate the technical complexities of municipal, provincial and federal regulations toward facilitating transactions and achieving regulatory compliance.

One of our core philosophies is that we build the company around the team members we have. At Next, you'll have the opportunity to define the direction of your career with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to guide you and launch your career in the environmental consulting industry.

**The Role**:
You will receive excellent on-the-job training and immediately become an important team member. Don't worry about working alone, because you will have a network of team members to help you along the way who have extensive experience in the field Your main job responsibilities are:

- Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, (also known as Stage 1 and 2 Preliminary Site Investigations), Detailed Site Investigations, underground tank removals, confirmatory sample, and other types of projects dealing with a variety of contaminants;
- You will be relied on to improve your understanding of the technical and regulatory facets of your chosen career, and provided with support to learn and grow; and
- You will enjoy the satisfaction and appreciation of resolving client business problems and environmental roadblocks in a creative and efficient manner.

The Qualifications
- A degree in environmental or civil engineering, environmental or environmental sciences, biology, chemistry, geology or agrology;
- Have a confident presence and strong communication skills. You are excited about providing a positive client experience, and the responsibility that comes with it;
- Be a talented multitasker;
- Have a self-starter attitude. You are someone who is comfortable taking action where there will not always be clarity - you have good judgment and always push things forward;
- Thrive when working with other individuals and teams;
- Be a resilient, strong individual performer who is energized by meeting individual and team targets and contributing to the team's success; and
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle.

The Perks:

- Collaborative and innovative work is our philosophy. Next Environmental Inc. thrives in exploring how things can be done differently to meet, and often exceed, our client’s and project goals. We encourage you to provide input on our processes and procedures, as all ideas are worth exploring;
- Benefits include medical/dental coverage, 3 weeks paid vacation, banked time/overtime based on company policy, group RRSP contributions, and other nice perks such as extra days off between Christmas/New Years with years worked;
- Variety of team events, such as tailgate BBQs, potlucks, wine and paint nights, trips to the driving range, pet meetups, and more;
- We embrace the hybrid work environment. All team members will be set up to work from home or remotely following the completion of training and successful onboarding. Our offices are pet-friendly and promote collaboration with colleagues. Ps, we also have snacks (and beer for those Friday afternoon wrap-up sessions).
