**Title**: YPHD Before & Afterschool Site Lead/Team Lead
**Location**: Inglis Street Elementary School

**Position Status**: Full-Time, Contract; Monday to Friday, 7:30-9:00am and 12:00-5:30pm (until June 30, 2026)
**Compensation**: $16.00-$17.50 per hour (September to December 2025) and $20.00-$22.00 per hour (January to June 2026)

**About the role**:
From August to December 2025, the Site Lead will serve as the primary point of contact for the site, ensuring daily operations run smoothly, resolving parent and staff concerns, and maintaining safety as the highest priority. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality, inclusive programming aligned with High Five and Y Healthy Child Standards, focusing on physical literacy, cooperative play, and confidence-building for school-aged children (4-12). The Site Lead actively engages in direct program delivery, fostering positive child development and championing physical literacy as a cornerstone to building healthy communities.
Beginning January 2026, the position will automatically transition to Team Lead, with expanded managerial and leadership responsibilities. The Team Lead will oversee staff at the site, ensuring all documentation, standards, requirements, and regulations are met. They will support and guide the team toward success, ensuring operational excellence while continuing to uphold program quality, safety, and inclusion.
**In this role, you will**:
- Administration: Responsible for the overall wellbeing and flow of the site. Completing any administrative work, being the focal point of communication on the ground, and ensuring the overall adherence to YMCA standards on site.
- Program Planning: plan and implement before school, and afterschool programming that provides an interactive, well-rounded, and educational experience in keeping with quality standards, child safeguarding requirements, and provincial requirements (i.e. applicable legislation). Includes development of curriculum plan and supporting activities, ensuring experience consistency/routine maintenance, and resource procurement.
- Program Delivery: Responsible for delivery of hands-on program activity plans for school age youth (ages 4-12) to enhance/provide participants with a safe, inclusive, positive environment. Program facilitation is in keeping with established outcomes/objectives, in addition to YMCA quality and safety requirements, and provincial regulations. Includes: program set-up/take down, preparation of materials and procurement of supplies/equipment; program evaluation and measurements of success.
- Foster positive, collaborative relationships with parents and caregivers in aim of supporting and enhancing child’s learning, development, and ensuring individual needs are met. Through collaboration with the leadership team, ensure a timely, meaningful resolution to parent concerns regarding program delivery. Champion and model Y values and behavior standards in all internal and external interactions.
- Program Administration: Complete program documentation/administrative activities as required supporting efficient program delivery and fulfillment of YMCA program and provincial body legislated requirements. Includes: completion, maintenance, and reporting of daily/weekly activity plan, pick up/sign out records, participant record maintenance, program/participation statistics, permission slips, and attendance.
