**Position Summary**

The Business Lawyer is responsible for providing legal advice and support on a wide range of business law matters, including contracts, corporate governance and structure, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, and intellectual property.

This position requires a deep understanding of the legal challenges businesses face and the ability to provide strategic legal advice to support our clients' objectives. You should be detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and persuasive, with excellent communication skills.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assisting businesses to prevent, navigate, and resolve complex legal issues.
- Assisting and advising businesses on establishing their company's structure, policies, objectives, and procedures for their business operations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements.
- Advise on regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with provincial and federal laws.
- Negotiating contract terms, transactions, and settlements on behalf of clients.
- Ensuring all business processes, strategies, and actions comply with all relevant local, state, federal, and international laws.
- Managing multiple clients, cases, and legal activities that carry varying deadlines.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their business needs and providing tailored legal solutions.
- Collaborate with other members of the legal team and cross-functional teams within the organization.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Lawyer who is licensed to practice in British Columbia or another Canadian jurisdiction and is able to be licensed in British Columbia.
- Minimum three-year call.
- Experience working in business law.
- Experience using the integrated software suites ProLaw and/or File Vine an asset.

**Compensation & Benefits**

Competitive, market-based salary that includes a base salary and an annual bonus based on billings ($100-120K + Bonus), extended health & dental plan, vacation & sick days, flexible workdays, ongoing professional development, team building activities, and regular staff events and treats

**Salary**: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
