As a Program Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in handling our mentoring programs. Adhering to National Standards set by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, you will oversee casework, ensuring our mission and values are at the heart of what we do. Duties include:

- Entering and maintaining client documentation in Service Delivery Platform (SDP) system, ensuring client recording is detailed, accurate and up to date, and match monitoring parameters are met for each match within the SDP system as per BBBS compliance standards.
- Uphold National Standards and adhere to child welfare legislation.
- Optimize mentor-mentee matches in both community and in-school programs.
- Maintain ongoing correspondence with matches to ensure monitoring requirements are met.
- Engage in volunteer recruitment, agency profiling, and community liaising.
- Attend meetings and forums for recruitment and awareness-raising.
- Requires regular and ongoing social interactions with community partners and liaisons.

Who You Are:

- Minimum of a two-year post-secondary diploma in education, social/human services, psychology, child and youth work, or a related field, or a combination of education and work experience that satisfies this requirement.
- Criminal record check with a vulnerable sector check completed.
- Ability to speak with children, youth, and adults.
- Comfortable presenting program details to both individuals and groups in a clear and engaging manner.
- Ability to work well with diverse populations, both independently and as a team member.
- Proficient in computer skills (Word, Excel).
- Minimum class 5 drivers license and access to a vehicle is required as there will be occasional travel between Qualicum Beach to Ladysmith.
- Experience with non-profit organizations is an asset
