**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Food Services Supervisor, the Utility Worker assists supervisory and skilled food service personnel in the preparation and serving of food for patients, staff and visitors.

**Qualifications**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- High School Graduation or equivalent required
- Recognized Food Safety and Sanitation Course required or willingness to obtain within six (6) months
- Food service experience preferred
- Ability to interact professionally with patients, families, other health care providers and staff with a pleasant and cooperative attitude.
- Physical and mental capabilities to perform the duties of the position which include: lifting and standing for long periods as well as working flexible hours and dealing with stressful situations
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters pertaining to patients, staff, and the DHA is required
- Demonstrated ability to function well as a team member required
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressures of time limitations is required
- Data entry skills considered an asset
- Ability and availability to work all shifts including weekend and rotating shifts
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Salary Information**:
$19.17 - $19.92 hourly
