The Warehouse Associate verifies and keeps records of incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying, and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. Assist with mechanical assembly of products.

**Responsibilities**:

- Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures and rates.
- Responsible for the overall warehouse; maintain clean and neat warehouse and surrounding area, ensuring that all employees follow proper procedures.
- Make sure all arrivals and shipments are received in Prophet 21; create daily shipping reports; create and print off picking slips; file all paperwork in proper file cabinets.
- Ensure that all shipments and deliveries are in good condition and sent out or received in a timely fashion.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and arrange to rectify damages and shortages.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Expedite orders.
- Assist Inside Sales and Outside Sales Reps.
- Inventory management.
- Participate in regular Inventory count.
- Utilize hand-held tools such as screwdriver and drill.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
- Other duties may include light mechanical assembly work.

**Work experience requirements**:

- Need to have excellent organization skills, enabling them to quickly locate merchandise for distribution or placement within the warehouse.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to communicate with all levels of employees and customers (internal and external).
- Keen attention to details and self-motivated.
- Prior experience using both hand and power tools.

**Education requirements**:

- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software & Excel worksheets.
