If yes, the Supply Chain Specialist - Inbound Logistics opportunity at Brother could be for you - What you'd be doing: - Reporting to the Manager, Operations & Planning, the Supply Chain Specialist (SCS) - Inbound Logistics will work with Product Planning, Sales, and Logistics teams and to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of inbound freight ETAs to consistently support our customers’ needs. - The SCS - Inbound Logistics will collaborate with the DC to ensure efficiency in receiving inventory and the return of containers within the internal KPIs, and report changes to planned inbound to the rest of business. - Some key responsibilities: - Ensure all ETAs for incoming freight are updated daily - container tracing and SAP updating - Daily review of inbound stock posting to SAP (107 - GR for goods in transit) - Work with Customs broker for any missing documentation required - Review risks for late arrivals - Analysis of logic used to calculate ETAs, adjust as needed based on supply chain trends - Prepare regular communication to advise business of changes to arrivals and higher-level projections of risks and opps - Manage inbound freight portion of Supply Chain monthly Dashboard, e.g., identify and report on strategic KPIs - Coordinate inbound delivery appointments and throughput (receiving) with DC - Provide DC with up-to-date inbound ETAs to assist them in scheduling receiving - Work with DC on capacity management, e.g., outside storage needs - Review invoices for Detention/Storage and freight cost discrepancies (e.g., cost of container on BIL billing vs actual) - Work with carriers to solve issues on inbound - Mitigate detention and storage costs as much as possible - Advise on risk and opps of detention/storage budget - Report on monthly budget vs. actual costs for inbound freight and detentions - Coordinate QI requirements for incoming stock, ensure stock is blocked, QA is advised, DC generates stock movement - Responsible for tracking, actioning and follow up on loss/damages, e.g., claims - Work with Supply Chain team to manage inbound priorities - Work with Finance to resolve invoice posting issues, and billing issues - Any other work, duties, projects or adhoc requests as assigned - What we look for: - Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, Mathematics or Commerce - Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement or logistics - Advanced knowledge of MS office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Knowledge of SAP (not a must, be preferable) - Must be well versed in French and English (verbal and written) - Highly organized and detail-oriented - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Critical thinking and problem - solving capabilities - Innovative - quick learner, highly adaptable and able to continuously improve (personal performance and by challenging status quo) - Extremely flexible in a fast paced and driven environment with multiple aggressive deadlines - What you need to know about Brother: - Our shared values are Inclusion, Collaboration, Customer Centricity and Social Responsibility - We’re an open and honest group of people that foster a challenging spirit in all that we do - "At your side" is more than a slogan; it’s our purpose and we do our best to fulfill it every day - We’re great people who work hard, play hard and look out for each other because we’re a team - it’s that simple - What Brother has to offer: - We're committed to achieving shared success and we provide opportunities for you to develop through experience, training, and learning via Brother University - RRSP program - we match up to 4% base salary per year after your first year of enrollment - Insurance package that cares for you as much as we do - Wellness subsidy to support your wellness goals - Recognition Awards Program: we give and receive kudos through our social recognition program, where you accumulate points towards your preferred reward - Friends and Family discount on Brother products saves you, your friends and family money on the things you need - Hybrid work model (at home/in the office) provides greater balance in supporting our Brother Community and team spirit - At Brother Canada, we strive to provide an environment where everyone feels valued by respecting individual differences and welcoming diverse life and work styles.
