Boardwalk Cafe and Games is an exciting, community focused company that provides a full service cafe along with a library of over 600 tabletop games. In order to effectively operate, Boardwalk relies on employees who are passionate about creating an environment where individuals can connect with one another while enjoying high end beverages and food. You must be personable and willing to do whatever is necessary to create a unique and exciting experience for patrons of Boardwalk Cafe and Games. From the time a patron walks through the door up until the time they say goodbye, you must be approachable and friendly, ensuring that everyone who comes to Boardwalk is treated as a friend and a valued guest.

**Responsibilities**:

- Food Prep -- You will be repsonsible for the preparation of our various menu items, to customer specifications. You will also be required to manage inventory and do ingredient prep while maintaining a clean and efficient work space.
- Front of House - You will be responsible with greeting customers, ringing through purchases, answering questions over the phone and in person about our services and merchandise. You must be comfortable talking to customers regarding their orders, comments, and complaints. Stellar customer service skills are a must
- Barista - You will be responsible for preparing a variety of specialty coffee orders for customers, such as espresso drinks, as well as various other hot and cold beverages. All beverages must be prepared to quality standards and completed efficiently.
- Food & Beverage Server - You will be responsible for taking menu orders from customers, addressing any menu-related questions and promptly serving all customers. You will also be responsible for ensuring food orders are prepared quickly and accurately. You will also be responsible for serving alcohol and checking customer IDs.
- Board Game Enthusiast - A passion for board games is a must You will need a strong grasp of various board games to recommend, teach and answer customer questions. You must be open-minded and willing to learn new board games from a variety of genres.

Qualifications:

- Of legal age to serve alcohol in British Columbia
- Possess, or be willing to acquire, the Serving It Right qualification
- Possess, or be willing to acquire, the FoodSafe Certification
- Be available most evenings and weekends
- Maintain strong personal hygiene
- Prior food service experience is an asset

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: $16.75-$18.00 per hour
