As the Manager, Labour Relations, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining strong relationships between our organization and its workforce. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of labour relations, providing expert advice, and ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and Union regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in arbitration, collective agreement negotiations, conflict resolution, and grievance resolution to contribute to the success of our organization.

**What You Get to Do**

Lead and manage the full spectrum of labour relations activities, including collective bargaining, grievance resolution, and dispute settlement.

Collaborate with management and HR teams to develop labour relations strategies, policies, and procedures that align with organizational goals and legal requirements that promote a positive and constructive work environment.

Serve as the primary contact for numerous employee unions, fostering open lines of communication and collaborative relationships.

Provide expert guidance and support to management and HR teams on all labour relations matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

Conduct thorough research and analysis of industry trends, collective agreements, and emerging labour relations issues to anticipate and address potential challenges.

Participate in collective bargaining negotiations, representing the organization's interests while striving for fair and mutually beneficial outcomes.

Facilitate conflict resolution processes, mediating disputes between employees, unions, and management to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

Stay updated on labour legislation, court rulings, and regulatory changes to proactively advise on potential impacts to the organization.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records related to labour relations activities, including grievance files, negotiation minutes, and correspondence.

**Qualifications**

Bachelor's degree in human resources, Labour Relations, or a related field.

Proven experience of at least 5-10 years in a senior labour relations role.

Knowledge of Canadian labour relations legislation, collective bargaining practices, and Union employment law.

Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with a track record of successful collective bargaining agreements and dispute resolution.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including the ability to effectively articulate complex labour relations concepts.

Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions.
