**Journeyperson / Apprentice Pipefitter**

**Job Summary**

TIW WESTERN Inc. is an established Calgary based manufacturing company and recognized leading supplier of heat transfer and combustion equipment.

We are looking for Fitters with pipe fitting and hydrotest experience to join our Calgary fabrication shop.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Ensure work instructions are carried out as per Supervisor or Lead Hand’s directives.
- Ensure tolerances and specifications are met per company standards.
- Measure, cut, thread, assemble and install pipes, pipe sections, valves, and fittings.
- Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies.
- Fabrication of structural steel assemblies according to blueprints and job specifications.
- Read and interpret construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment and manual flame-cutting equipment.
- Meet assigned production goals and objectives.
- Comply with company safety and quality standards.
- Perform fitting duties safely, accurately and in a timely manner.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Current Alberta Pipefitting Ticket or will be considered an asset.
- Previous pipe fabrication and hydrotest experience will be considered an asset.
- Previous structural fabrication experience will be considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and isometrics.
- Ability to use the facility equipment: Overhead cranes, forklift, manlift and rigging equipment.

- This is a fulltime position on a 4 days per week x 10 hours per day schedule, from Monday to Thursday. Occasional overtime may be available.
