**Job Title**:Director of Project Delivery / Director of Operations - Construction
**Location**: Burlington, Ontario
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and manage the project delivery team, ensuring projects are delivered according to plan, scope, and quality requirements.
- Develop and implement project management methodologies, standards, and tools to ensure consistent and efficient project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to address any issues.
- Oversee the daily operations of the construction division, ensuring efficient and effective workflows and processes.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that enhance productivity and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Optimize resource allocation, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to maximize efficiency and project profitability.
- Contribute to the development of the companys strategic goals and objectives, particularly as they relate to project delivery and operational excellence.
- Analyze market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making and identify growth opportunities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial objectives are met and cost controls are in place.
- Monitor project financial performance, providing regular reports to the executive team and stakeholders.
- Implement cost-saving measures and value engineering techniques to enhance project profitability.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing project delivery and operations team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Identify and address training and development needs to enhance team capabilities and career growth.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Address and resolve any client or stakeholder issues that arise during the project.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).
- PMP, CCM, or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Ability to conduct site visits, including navigating uneven terrain and construction sites.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on operational and strategic planning.
