Program Services Coordinator

Reporting to the Executive Director, and working collaboratively with the PM Staff, the Program Services Coordinator is responsible for:
1. Coordinating the annual Provincial Palliative Care Conference, including coordination of volunteers (1/year)
2. Coordinating and facilitating the Lunch and Learn series (4/year)
3. Coordinating and overseeing the Memory Tree, including coordination of volunteers (month of December)
4. Planning the Light the Memories Event (Spring 2025)
5. Responding to telephone and onsite inquiries regarding end-of-life and bereavement services on an ongoing basis
6. Supporting Palliative Manitoba events
**Education and Training**:
**Required Skills and Knowledge**:
**Communication Skills**:excellent written and verbal communication skills appropriate to differing audiences and situations, from presentations to written and verbal methods employed in small and large group settings.
**Interpersonal Skills**:demonstrated ability to work as a team member, developing relationships and partnerships based on trust, reliability, respect, mutual goal setting with diverse groups of individuals and community organizations, government representatives and the public at large
**Time Management Skills**:ability to effectively plan ahead and manage competing priorities
**Adaptability/Flexibility**:ability to modify style and approach in a changing work environment, activities and people in order to achieve specific objectives, including the ability to pay attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of work
**Palliative Care Understanding**:knowledge and experience in dealing with patients and families who are facing end-of-life and grief journeys and an awareness of the processes involved, and its effect on individuals, families and the community including volunteers.
**Reliability/Accountability**: self-motivated, able to make independent decisions where appropriate and committed to excellence with the ability to pay attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of work.
**Stress Management**:ability to cope with multiple deadlines, prioritize deadlines, deal with and resolve difficult situations.
**Computer Skills**:use of various computer systems, software and systems to complete work, tasks and projects (Microsoft 365, Outlook, internet, databases and word processing for example. Experience in graphic design, CRM database usage and WordPress are assets.
This position will work a 5-day work week at 6 hours a day to a maximum of 30 hours per week. Salary commensurate with education and experience.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $39,620.86-$51,673.40 per year
Expected hours: 30 per week
