**Project Coordinator (Coquitlam)**

**Matcon Environmental **is hiring a Junior Project Manager/Coordinator who will be supporting Project Managers and directly reporting to the Division Manager. This is a Full-time, salaried position based on experience and education. Standard Matcon Benefits package is included in the position.

Matcon Environmental completes interesting and challenging environmental construction projects of all sizes in all locations of British Columbia, Yukon and NWT. We have completed over 250 projects since our inception in 2015 ranging in size from $50,000 to $18 million.

**The Project Coordinator will be supporting Project Managers and reporting directly to the Environmental Division Manager**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Project Manager support - provide support to the Division Manager and other Project Managers as needed
- Project Estimation for smaller scale projects via Matcon’s bidding software.
- Project Startup - issuing contracts, requesting insurance and bonds, WCB notices, etc.
- Project Documentation - using Microsoft software to manage labour, materials, and equipment, cost coding, submittals, schedules, meeting minutes, change orders, invoicing, requests for information, etc.
- Document Control - uploading documents to clients’ document control systems
- Client Interface - attending meetings with project manager and clients to manage project issues and maintain positive working relationships

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Preferable Post-secondary, technical education (BCIT) or similar in an Environmental, Construction or industry-related program
- Industry Experience - 1-5 years

- Driven - self-motivated and driven to push things forward no matter the circumstance
- Independent - ability to communicate effectively with team and take instruction from Project Manager, but also act authoritatively on your own
- Personable - able to build and maintain solid relationships with coworkers and clients
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

Wage:

- $55,000-$75,000 a year dependent on experience
- Strong performers eligible to participate in the Matcon Bonus Plan
