- grocery store located in downtown New Westminster.**
We currently have an opening for **Food Production and Retail Sales Supervisor.** This role is permanent and full-time.
We are looking for someone who is reliable and with a strong work ethic.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities** as Food Production Supervisor included but not limited to:
- Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
- Prepare production and other reports
- Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Train staff
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
- Prepare special orders
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- Organize and maintain inventory
**Job Duties and Responsibilities **as a Retail Sales Supervisor included but not limited to:
- supervise, train, resolve conflicts and coach Deli Counter staff as directed;
- store, rotate, stock, prepare and display products as directed, in a timely manner, and in compliance with company’s policies and established practices for safety, sanitation and customer service and document personnel concerns for department management;
- clean shelving, refrigeration equipment, storage areas, prep areas and display areas in compliance with established practices and document any equipment maintenance or safety concerns for department management;
- monitor prepared foods quality, presentation and losses in compliance with company’s policies and established practices for safety, sanitation and customer service;
- perform other tasks assigned by Department Manager including, but not limited to, filling-in for Deli Counter and submitting written comments for evaluations of Deli Counter staff.
**Experience **required for this position:
- 2 Years - Italian Kitchen food experience like cook (mandatory)
- 1 Year - Italian Deli clerk experience (mandatory)
- Deep knowledge of Italian Deli meat and Cheese DOP (mandatory)
- Food Safe level 1
