Purpose and Role of Position:
The Sales Associate is knowledgeable about clothing brands and able to effectively assist customers. The Sales Associate has a strong focus on retail sales and customer service.

Job Summary:
The Sales Associate is responsible for providing support in the receiving, sorting, washing, and stocking of quality used clothing. The Sales Associate is able to use their knowledge of clothing brands and fashion trends to provide an enjoyable shopping experience for customers.

Job Qualifications:

- Minimum of two years retail experience
- Experience with the following:

- Greeting and assisting customers
- Produce knowledge, including brands and pricing
- Dealing with customer queries
- Flexibility in working hours
- Receiving, sorting, and preparing of inventory
- Cash register operation, provide accurate monetary interactions

Job Responsibilities Including But Not Limited To:
Responsibility: Customer Service
- Greet customers and provide assistance finding items with the goal of providing an exemplary shopping experience
- Maintain professionalism in the store
- Deal with customer queries and complaints

Responsibility: Maintain Stock, Supplies, and Inventory
- Ensure movement and rotation of good quality used clothing inventory
- Follow safety procedures in receiving, sorting, and preparing inventory for sale
- Price items for sale
- Maintain inventory in an orderly and attractive manner to encourage sales

Responsibility: Other Duties
- Continuous learning in the retail field and the area of gender-based violence, violence against women, and data specific to Anova
- Make ongoing recommendations for improvement
- Participate in staff meetings and appropriate Anova training events
- Commitment for Health and Safety
- Other duties as assigned

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $16.55 per hour

Work setting:

- Apparel store

**Experience**:

- Fashion retail: 2 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
- Inventory management: 2 years (preferred)
- Cash handling: 2 years (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- London, ON N5Y 5A1 (preferred)
