**What you'll be doing**:

- Overseeing day-to-day operations at four local retail locations
- Communicating with owner and management at out of province locations
- Providing in-store customer service
- Completing in-store merchandising (some night shifts required during busy seasons)
- Designing business strategies and set goals for growth
- Maintaining budgets and optimize expenses
- Ensuring high merchandising standards and visual displays
- Maintaining a productive team of up to 40 employees
- Preparing regular reports for upper management
- Overseeing recruitment and training of both retail workers and assistant managers

**What you'll bring**:

- Experience as a General Manager or similar role
- A valid drivers license
- Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
- Proven ability to calmly handle HR issues such as employee conflicts
- Experience with merchandising and visual design
- Problem analysis and solving skills
- Dedication to the safety of all employees
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to manage a diverse staff
- Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
- Availability for after-hours and weekend work
