Workforce Development Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of equivalent experience in coordinating training and managing budgets
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (outlook/Teams/SharePoint/word/excel/PowerPoint)
- Proficient collaboration and partnership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently

The Workforce Development Manager is a key BAM team member that is responsible for:
**Managing workforce development and training including**:

- Draft and implement training contracts with providers;
- Manages training budgets and resources;
- Book training venues, trainers and meals;
- Conduct feedback/evaluations and surveys for training events;
- Maintain and oversee the Training Overview sheet; and
- Event recruitment and marketing/promotion

**Assessing and planning industry training needs**:

- Create and manage training framework
- Write funding proposal - identify goals, content and scope
- Reporting - oversee and complete in a timely manner
- Complete biannual training needs assessment report

**Supporting workforce development activities**:

- Maintain relationships with industry and academia training partners to:

- Develop program content and curriculum
- Training newsletter; and
- Communicate wage subsidies
- CRM - create campaigns and manage contacts
- Chair HR and training committees
- Assists with the creation of board reports
- Liaise with other sector council training managers
