We are looking for a Class 1 Truck driver to join the new Van Freight division of Sutco Transportation in Vancouver, the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley region. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Conduct pre and post and trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring safety, road worthiness and regulatory compliance.
- Operate tri-axle van trailers delivering freight including but not limited to beverages, packaging, general merchandise etc to destinations in BC & Alberta.
- Ensure safe transportation of freight by securing goods whilst loading and unloading.
- Chain-up vehicle based on road conditions.
- Plan your driving routes using maps or GPS tracking.
- Manage your time responsibly to reach the destination by the predetermined time.
- Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
- Complete all electronic records regarding working hours, vehicle status and maintenance records using the industry's best fleet management system, ISAAC.
- Remain compliant with Federal Hours of Service regulations.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**

As a member of the Sutco Transportation team, we expect you to bring the following to the table:

- Class 1 Driver's Licence
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- 2 years of trucking experience preferred
- Mountain and winter driving experience preferred
- Clean driver's abstract
- A desire to maximize hours, miles and income
- Ability to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Testing
- Ability to enter the US for work purposes preferred
