Production Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor to join our team at our location in Alberta

Job Purpose

As the Production Supervisor at our facility, you would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production department which includes seeding, sticking and transplanting. Tasks such as scheduling, forecasting labour requirements, maintaining quality standards, ensuring efficiency, safety and team building are main focus areas. In addition to these tasks, a key part of your roll would be to coordinate with other departments including growing and sales to deliver on time as expected to meet customer demands.

- Communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, feedback, conflict resolution; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

- Managing the budget for the department, including monitoring costs and workload to ensure the department is meeting deadlines and financial targets.
- Training and supervising employees, including conducting performance evaluations and providing coaching and support to help employees develop their skills and careers.
- Coordinating with other teams or departments to ensure that the organization is meeting its overall goals and objectives.
- Communicating with upper management, stakeholders, and other key individuals to provide updates on the department's progress and to seek guidance and support as needed.
- Monitoring and analyzing key metrics to track the department's performance and to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensuring employee hours and transfers are accurately tracked and updated in Dayforce daily.
- Resolving conflicts and issues within the department and providing leadership and guidance to help the department function effectively.
