Pre-planning Funeral Counsellor

We are seeking an exceptional Pre-Planning Funeral Counsellor to join our team of outstanding professionals at Holy Cross Funeral Home, located at Holy Cross Cemetery in Markham, Ontario.

As a Pre-Planning Counsellor, you will be responsible for developing opportunities and establishing lasting relationships within the Catholic community. You will be expected to promote and arrange funerals and related Supplies and Services to pre-need clients for the purposes of mission fulfillment, revenue generation and market share growth. In addition, you will assist with completing aftercare, attending company sponsored events and maintaining up-to-date and accurate records.

- Previous Sales and Service experience along with the proven ability to generate and close leads.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- The ability to cultivate and foster strong interpersonal relationships with families and the community is also critical.
- Exceptional customer service, superior communication, attention to detail, accuracy and excellent time management skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
- A thorough understanding of the Catholic faith, beliefs, traditions and practices pertaining to funerals, funeral mass and burials is essential.
- A valid Funeral Pre-Planner Certificate at minimum, Ontario Class G Driver’s License and a clear Police Clearance Record is required.
