**About the role**
- The Trainee Operator - MMU is a trainee job in bulk explosive delivery that requires the incumbent to perform all aspects of the role under direct supervision until deemed competent in accordance with the set training schedule.

**What you will be doing**
- Ensures raw materials and dangerous goods are used, handled and stored according to requirements of the SDS.
Ensures minimum damage to the environment through waste minimization and control Reports all Unusual Incidents and Accidents immediately.
Participates in daily Toolbox talks and Monthly Safety Meetings Maintains all personal training against the Orica training Matrix for your role.
Performs other ancillary duties including relief at other locations, consistent with level of competence as reasonably instructed by the supervisor.
Assists the client in achieving targets and maintaining production.
Notifies Orica site management of any variations in product specification, appearance or performance.
Assist other team members when necessary
Early morning time depending on clients' need
Daily schedule averages 12 hrs. a day, overtime daily after 8.5 hr.
Monday to Friday, Weekends off
Long days out in all types of weather, with big rewards at the end of the day

**What you will bring**
- 2 or more years of experience in a construction position required
- Mining, Quarry & Construction experience a PLUS
- Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used on construction jobs
- Previous experience in commercial construction jobs
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
- Must be prompt and committed to doing great work
- Must have reliable transportation to get to the office in Greely, ON
- Must be self-motivated and can work well with others
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move up to seventy (70) pounds
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Clean driving record
- One year related work experience preferred
- DZ driver's license
