**Position**: Order Picker/Forklift Operator

**Reporting to**: Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

**Location**: Hydel Inc. - Vaughan
- **Overview**:_

Reporting to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, the Order Picker/Forklift Operator ensures seamless processing of outgoing shipments and incoming items. The order picker receives, unpacks, checks, and stores goods and materials. The order picker fills requisitions and orders, packs crates, and ships products and materials to customers.
- **Duties & Responsibilities**_
- Forklift operation (Counter Balance & Raymond Reach), assembling shipments, record keeping, and locating products for specific orders.
- Retrieve stock to fulfill orders & prepare products for shipping.
- Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off.
- Preparing proper documentation for shipments (record keeping).
- Shipping/Receiving - loading & unloading of trucks, repackaging.
- Sort and distribute incoming shipments.
- Problem solve for any cases of missing documents, shipments and deliveries.
- Handle incoming inquiries from both external and internal customers.
- Maintain computer records of all activities.
- Follow current standards and procedures.
- Maintain an orderly and organized workplace according to policies, procedures and safety regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- **Skills & Qualifications**_:

- High school diploma.
- Minimum 1 - 2 years of shipping/receiving and/or order picking experience.
- Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
- Current (non-expired) Counter Balance & Raymond Reach licenses preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, data entry is considered an asset.
- Experience with cross-border shipping procedures.
- Excellent time-management, and high attention to detail.
- Ability to be flexible, open and responsive to ongoing changes.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a culturally diverse team.
- Must be able to perform physical exertion - lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, teamwork environment with mínimal supervision.
- Work is performed in a combination of environments.

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
