Building Maintenance Technician

**Job Summary**
We are currently hiring a **Maintenance Technician** for one of our properties located in **Burnaby, BC**. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for growth, skill development, and long-term career advancement.

**Daily Physical Duties**:

- Inspect life safety systems; maintain fire logbook
- Conduct daily checks of boiler and electrical rooms
- Monitor supply inventories and common areas, including parking and exterior grounds
- Identify and document maintenance deficiencies
- Maintain snow logs during winter season
- Replace garbage bins and perform janitorial tasks if needs

**Repairs & Upkeep**:

- Complete maintenance work in vacant suites and occupied units
- Perform drywall repairs, touch up painting, basic plumbing, light fixture replacements, and other
- Coordinate trades, suppliers, and contractors using approved P.O.s
- Maintain in-suite maintenance schedules and process all related documentation

**Communication & Admin**:

- Respond to tenant inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Maintain clear communication with the Property Manager
- Submit completed work orders and assist with purchase order tracking

**Qualifications**
- **1+ year experience** in residential property maintenance or similar field
- Excellent customer service and communication skills in English
- Skilled in general repairs (drywall, carpentry, painting, plumbing, etc.)
- Computer skills
- Must live within 15 minutes of the site
- Own set of tools required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $47,000.00 per year
