**JOB SUMMARY**

Reporting to the CVSC and CDT Supervisor, the **customer service coordinator**'s role is to ensure that each customer receives a timely, affordable, high quality product that meets their needs and expectations. Throughout the ordering process and up to and including billing. This person acts as an intermediary between the customer and the sales and production teams. To do so, he/she works closely with the customers and the sales and production teams.

Acts as the first point of contact for national or major customers and/or sales representatives for moderately complex questions, issues or concerns. Resolves moderately complex issues, may handle requests of a technical nature or refer to a specialized team. Requires very good knowledge of the company, products and/or services. May assess needs and suggest/promote alternative products or services. May be responsible for the administration and accounting of credits, refunds, invoices, payments, etc. For the incumbents involved in production or operations, use a job code of Customer/Operations Support Coordinator.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE**:
**Act as an intermediary between the client and the account manager**:

- Manage customer relationships and build good business relationships;
- Be the daily contact for the client;
- Process specific requests, such as tests, in accordance with production work requirements;
- Check the state of the customer’s product throughout the production process, whether by reviewing the proofs before customization of the product, data reports and authorizations or verifying samples to ensure client requirements are met.

**Manage customer interactions on behalf of TC Transcontinental**:

- Acts as a technical resource for any printing-related issues and resolves any issues related to quality, design or other aspects of production;
- Contact the customer directly to ensure that the order specifications are noted, the costs are accurate and the fulfillment requirements are realistic. Provide a guided tour for customers visiting the plant;
- Regularly inform the customer of the status of their order and participate in regular meetings on the customer and production progress to learn about any changes or developments affecting the specifications and timing of the order;
- Uses knowledge of production and procedures to recommend value-added features to customers.

**Collaborate with Transcontinental plant personnel to manage daily production deadlines and establish priorities to meet customer deadlines**:

- Recognize potential setbacks and inform superiors as required to ensure client requirements are met;
- Ensure that all necessary documents, files, information and approvals are forwarded to the production team in an organized manner and in accordance with established quality and client service standards;
- Prepare a production file plan, including technical specifications, fact sheets, print plan, finish plan, delivery plan and special instructions, if applicable;
- Gather all necessary information to set up a detailed production schedule and communicate, monitor and resolve any issues with the client and production team;
- Determine the most affordable way to plan and complete the work;
- Arrange pre and post production meetings as required;
