The Buyer, reporting to the Senior Supply Chain & Inventory Manager is responsible for the sourcing and procurement of goods and services from suppliers in support of obtaining the best overall value for the company. The Buyer is also responsible to analyze and procure inventory and/or office supplies for Stinson’s operational requirements. These tasks are to be performed as per the established procurement procedures, while promoting and maintaining positive internal partner and supplier relationships.
- Undertake procurement and strategic sourcing from existing vendors/suppliers to achieve best possible overall value for the organization.
- Source and evaluate new suppliers for goods and services as required.
- Issue RFPs, RFQs and purchase orders to suppliers.
- Closely work with
- Inventory Management team for stock replenishment for various internal departments, to resolve issues related to receiving and for contributing towards inventory management & control.
- Accounts Payable team and suppliers to resolve issues related to invoicing and payments.
- Internal Logistics team and third-party logistics providers on inbound & outbound shipments striving for freight optimization.
- Manage supplier cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Maintain supplier information, price list, and contact information.
- Work on special projects as required.

You have:
- College or University degree in supply chain, business, or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Proficient with MS-Office and ERP systems.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Cross-functional collaboration and ability to work alone and/or as a team is critical for this role.
