The Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing procurement processes for cost efficiencies and to maximize profitability across the Company. **Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate risk, prepare forecasts, and assess scenarios and other factors concerning the supply market, and write reports and recommendations to support management decisions.
- Develop and implement the Company’s supply chain and procurement processes, procedures and standards that promote consistency, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Evaluate and process new and existing vendors to qualify them and ensure they are providing expected value and are meeting sufficient insurance and WCB qualifications.
- Execute the sourcing process including the request for proposal (RFP) development and issuance.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to identify competitive goods and suppliers.
- Leverage the organization’s buying power to optimize purchasing activities, access new suppliers, reduce lead times, and guarantee supply.
- Develop and ensure procurement processes are effective, efficient, and substantiated with evidence of due process and financial controls to facilitate the orderly processing of invoices from vendors/service providers.
- Issue and approve purchase orders in accordance with internal policy to ensure ethical sourcing, legal compliance, and completeness, ensuring that appropriate terms and conditions are in place to mitigate risk to the company.
- Communicate effectively to resolve issues with all internal and external clients, including vendors.
- Develop and maintain positive long-term relationships with internal stakeholders and national vendors.
- Understand and support the Company’s value proposition and the importance of long-term relationships in the vendor network.

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of supply chain management experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in supply chain / procurement or similar preferred
- Able to think strategically about business issues, and problem solve through research and root cause analysis.
- Strong relationship management capabilities, with the proven ability to initiate and execute initiatives across multiple departments and locations.
- Strong organizational and time management experience with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate cost effective vendor agreements.
- Demonstrated ability to provide superior internal and external client experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
