**Stuart Olson is currently seeking Industrial Instrumentation Technician(s) with experience in mining and or oil and gas project construction**

**Responsibilities**
- Test troubleshoot and repair transmitters, switches, control valves.
- Calibrate and adjust set points on a variety of different instruments.
- Coordinate with control room to stroke and function test valves and dampers.
- Install and trouble tubing and air actuated instruments.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.
- Repair faulty equipment or systems.
- Understand and practice company policies and procedures.
- Maintain safe work practices.
- Other duties as requested by the Supervisor.

**Qualifications**
- Certified Journeyperson Instrumentation ticket
- Industrial construction experience in oil and gas, SAGD or mining is required
- Industrial SAGD or oil and gas plant maintenance facility
- Positive attitude towards safety
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Superior focus on customer satisfaction

**Required Safety Tickets**
- CSTS-20
- H2s Alive
- Energy Safety Canada (ESC) Tickets:

- Fall Arrest an asset
- Confined Space an asset
- Aerial Work Platform an asset

**Working Conditions**
- Compliance to site Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
- Working in and around noise and dust
- Valid Class 5 driver’s License

**Physical Requirements**
- Stand or walk for long periods of time; working outside in all kinds weather
- Ability to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25kg
- Climbing stairs/ladders regularly
- Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, and sharp hand tools
