**Summary of Position**: Operating the NGR Pelletizer is to process and supply the factory with clean uncontaminated uniformed pellets, by ensuring proper processing and daily screen changes to avoid any contamination in the materials fed to the plant floor. Will preform & monitor regular output and settings including glycol flow & temperatures to ensure the machine is running at full potential daily. They will work in a manner that does not jeopardize the safety of themselves or others and will follow all Safety Policies including Tag & Lock Out Procedures related to the safe operation of this machine. **Major Responsibilities**: - Understands the Lockout & Tag Procedure and when to use it and who to notify when needed; - Safe Operation in the Removal of the Shedder Plate and the Safe cleaning of the shredder unit _**(lock-out);**_ - Operate Machine in a manner that does not jeopardized safety and adheres to company policy; - Maintain Expected Daily Output based on Material and how to check and find **LBS/HR**: - Record Daily Output & Control Settings while also tracking and labelling finished boxes of resin; - Basic Knowledge and understanding of the NGR Procedure and Company Policy - Knowledge of Material types and Recipes: CLR, GB, WHT, EVOH, MAIZE, MULCH, COMPOST; - Run material to meet the Highest Quality Standards and avoid contamination of Material by sifting through scrap as loaded; - Ability to Change Screens and changed regularly based on Screen Bar Pressure - How to deal with the metal detector if unit goes into alarm and how to reset unit - Understands the maximum load capacity of the Scrap Conveyor; - Understands the importance of the Shedder/Extruder Load, Melt Pressure, Extruder/Pelletizer Speed; - Knows what Acceptable Pellet uniformity is and how to address the pellet shape if needed; - Can Check Glycol Flow and Pressure and knows where the valve settings should be to ensure proper cooling; - Daily Water Bath, water gutter, Centrifuge, dust bag and underneath the inside of machine cleaning; - Operating Roll Feed and adjusting Percentage of Feed to add rolls into mix - Knows who to notify and how to properly & safely enter the shredder area to remove jammed material; - Run machine in AUTO and ensure tracking is on for consistency; - Have Open communication with shift supervisor and shippers to remove and stage materials, while ensuring that issues have been communicated and addressed to your supervisor; - Maintaining a safe and clean work area at all times and kept clean & organized for the following shifts; - Other related Duties as Requested and Required. **Additional Duties and Responsibilities**: - Maintain accurate, concise, timely and legible information and record keeping; - Ensure no disruption to NGR production due to a lack of material; - General Clean Up; provide proper care & housekeeping to aid in removal of Cardboard/Garbage/Cores/Pellets; - Tools, Supplies, and Brooms are returned to their Set locations. **Education and/or Experience**: - Ability to work 12 hour continental shift work - 2 weeks days (7am-7pm) / 2 weeks nights (7pm-7am); - Attentive to detail, accuracy, well organized, follow direction, co-operative, willing to assist others in a team environment; - Ability to perform basic math skills, weights; - Solid communication skills, able to and communicate in a loud production factory environment; - Ability to lift 50 pounds; - Follow safe operating procedures, wear all required protective gear and adhere to all policies and procedures (fire, health & safety, WHMIS); - Operate the NGR to comply with Material specifications, create and load product into boxes and produce accurate records. **How to Apply** **As part of our hiring process, we ask that all interested applicants complete a 2-question survey**: Please select "Polyethics Talent Network" prior to completing the survey. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $19.00-$21.36 per hour Expected hours: 36 - 48 per week Additional pay: - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Profit sharing - RRSP match - Vision care Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 12 hour shift - Day shift - Night shift - Overtime **Education**: - Secondary School (required) **Experience**: - Manufacturing: 5 years (required) Work Location: In person
