We have an opening for a **Design Build Team Lead** in our **Kelowna** office. We strongly encourage any current employee(s) who are interested in this role to apply.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accountable for project execution and technical quality of the electrical design-build team’s activities.
- Work with the team to seek out, develop, and maintain relationships with developers and clients.
- Project level quoting, planning, design, and project management as required.
- Develop, modify, and improve design-build procedures/processes as required.
- Mentorship and development of Engineers, Technologists, Drafting, and Project Managers on the team.
- Provide direction to technical and support staff regarding best design practices and standards updates.
- Peer/stage reviews of redline, IFR, and IFC design packages.
- Peer reviews of Design Build estimates and customer proposals.
- Ensuring data integrity in DB design, construction, and record drawings.
- Design coordination with customers, municipal authorities, other utilities & various project stakeholders.
- Off-site meetings and site checks as required.
- Other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Eligibility or registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of British Columbia (ASTTBC).
- Great interpersonal skills with the ability to develop business relationships conducted in a professional manner.
- Strong collaborative skills and willingness to liaise with other disciplines (marketing, drafting, construction, survey, and civil) to ensure projects are accurate, compliant, on time and on budget.
- Demonstrated self-motivation and drive for improvement.
- Class 5 driver’s license.

**A few qualifications that would help you succeed**:

- Registration or eligibility for registration as a professional engineer (P.Eng. / P.L.Eng.) with EGBC (The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia).
- Utility distribution design-build experience.
- Street lighting design experience.
- Familiarity with construction and land development.
- Experience working in the electric utility or related engineering environment, ideally in the design and cost estimating of electrical distribution projects.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Experience with AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, AGI32, and MS Office.
