The soul of the stroll. A gastropub fit for its vistas, Black’s Pub is a destination unto itself. Situated right at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb, this 2-level gastropub features unparalleled views of both mountains. Black’s Pub is a place for neighbours and community to share in great food, fantastic drinks and culture.

Our Hosts have a passion for hospitality and are a very important part of our venue. Being an ambassador to our standards and core values. By consistently providing a warm welcome and great service, the Host provides a first and last impression to our guests. You will assist the team as needed, from assisting with the service of food and drinks to greeting and seating guests

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet guests warmly upon arrival
- Manage waitlists and reservations (in person and over the phone)
- Assign tables efficiently to optimize seating flow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance
- Communicate wait times clearly and professionally
- Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
- Notify servers of new guests in their section
- Answer basic questions about the menu and restaurant
- Handle guest concerns or direct them to management
- Support front-of-house team as needed during busy periods (e.g., running food, resetting tables)

**Requirements**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm under pressure; good multitasking
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
