Our Mobile, Loss Prevention and Static Team provide 24-hour customized security services to a wide range of clients and facilities across the Lower Mainland including office buildings, shopping centers, educational institutions, parking facilities, and private residences. We are looking for **full-timers in Surrey.** **Availability**:Evenings, Overnights, Weekdays & Weekends **Wage**:$18.75 - $20.00 per hour **What you will be doing**: - Assist with all security operations - Lead a team of security professionals. - Ensure the site-specific operation procedures are up to date. - Ensure tasks are completed in an efficient manner. - Audit security work and interactions with customers on an ongoing basis. - Proactively mentor and train employees and provide regular feedback. - Assist with employee rewards and appreciation programs. - Help manage the schedule. - Ensure accurate and timely reporting. - Communicate with the operations manager. - Exercise good judgment and make decisions that benefit the customer and the property. - Become part of the team and make yourself a key part of the customer’s success. **What you should have**: - Valid BC security license - Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract - 1 year or more experience as a security guard - 6 months of driving experience - prior supervisory experience an asset - Proficient in the English language (verbal & written) - Top-notch customer service, with previous experience, considered a strong asset - Professional approach to role; acting in a disciplined, honest and ethical manner - Must be able to follow procedures and set routines effectively - Strong observation and communication skills Guardteck Security is a BC owned and operated security firm providing professional security services throughout Western Canada.
