**CEDO/EDO Technician with CGSB UT1/MT2**

**Position Summary**:
Mistras is currently looking for Certified Exposure Device Operators (CEDO) or EDO technician with CGSB UT1/MT2 certification to support upcoming projects in Fort McMurray region, Alberta.
- Fly-in/Fly-out available
- Short term Outage work (24 days)
- 12 hour shifts with travel
- Paid mobilization
- Camp provided

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure safe operation of exposure devices.
- Setup film in field / Fab Shop locations.
- Setup radiographic barriers.
- Dismantle radiographic barriers.
- Ensure radiographic perimeters are free from non-authorized personnel in coordination with field operations.
- Carrying out radiographic inspection as directed.
- Set up, maintain, and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
- Follow techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection
- Ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
- Interpret images as per Mistras procedures
- Organize and report test results
- Perform specialized inspections
- Install computer hardware and software; Troubleshoot computer issues
- Effectively communicate using verbal, presentation and listening skills
- Adhering to MISTRAS Group, Inc. safety polices and procedures.
- Adhering to CNSC regulations and MISTRAS Group, Inc. Radiation Safety Manual.
- Mentoring and coaching of designated Trainees.
- Assisting with inspection reports.
- Assisting with other NDE method inspections as required.
- Various other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**:

- Current CEDO certification with NRCAN
- Current CGSB UT1/MT2 certification
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks
- Knowledge of NDT equipment
- Strong computer skills required; including the ability to operate computerized equipment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to work with new technology
- Clean Valid Class 5 Driver's License

**Physical Job Demand**:

- Frequent lifting up to 75 lbs
- Must be able to tolerate working in extreme climates (sub zero temperatures) for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to tolerate numerous hours spent stooping, crawling, kneeling, standing and walking.
- Must be comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces.
- Must wear required protective and safety equipment (cold weather gear, safety glasses, hard hats, etc.
