**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Pathway maintenance and general landscaping
- Removal of fallen dead trees from forested areas
- Sign inventory and maintenance
- Weed whipping and trimming vegetation
- General janitorial duties at public beaches and greenspaces
- Shoveling, raking, and tree planting
- Other duties as assigned to support municipal operations

**Required Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid Class 5 Operator’s Licence with no more than 5 demerit points.
- Experience in the safe and proficient operation of tools and equipment for position.
- Applicants must be able to deal tactfully and diplomatically with the public.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor for extended periods
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Enrollment in post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., landscaping, environmental studies, forestry)
- First Aid certification
- Experience with small tools and landscaping equipment

**Desired Attributes**:

- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Self-motivated and driven
- Passion for forestry, environmental stewardship, and community beautification

**Additional Information**:

- Steel toe boots are required.
- Transportation will be provided for travel between work sites.
