**Building Attendant & Event Assistant**

The Vancouver Masonic Centre Association is looking for a building attendant/event assistant with a positive attitude and experience in a similar role. This job has the potential of full-time for the right person and would be ideal for someone who enjoys a flexible daytime schedule but is also able to accommodate some evening shifts for event setup and takedown.

**Responsibilities**:

- Set up and take down for member events, including furniture layout and table setup
- Provide custodial services in common areas of a five-story commercial building during and after events
- Ensure the property and public areas in front of the building are kept clean and tidy (excludes gardening/landscaping)
- Conduct regular building walk-throughs and report on any maintenance or trespassing concerns
- Assist with odd jobs such as power washing, storage organization, minor repairs, and errands

**Qualifications**:

- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Must have strong communication skills and social decorum
- Previous restaurant or security experience would be an asset
- Valid driver's license an asset
- Criminal record check required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- janitorial: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Night Shift (preferred)

Ability to Commute:

- Vancouver, BC V6H 1C1 (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Vancouver, BC V6H 1C1: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
