**Job Summary**

**Qualifications**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries and offering guidance on medication usage.
- Maintain inventory levels of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and organization.
- Process prescription orders, including verifying patient information and medication details.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals.
- Support medication administration processes within the hospital setting as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations, and best practices in pharmacy operations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining patient records.
- Prepare prescription labels, ensure proper packaging, and verify the accuracy of medication orders.
- Manage inventory, including stocking shelves, ordering medications, and ensuring proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
- Assist in the management of prescription refills and ensure patient profiles are up to date.
- Provide customer service by answering patient questions, both in person and over the phone.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, and maintaining patient records.
- Ensure that the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and compliant with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information.
- Help with the preparation of medication blister packs and dosage forms for patients.
- Adhere to all pharmacy laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Pharmacy Assistant Certification
- **Experience**:

- Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare setting, or customer service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication names is a plus.
- Experience with medication dispensing and pharmacy operations.

**Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Clear and professional communication, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle confidential information and maintain patient privacy.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy management software is a plus.
