**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the head chef.
- Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations throughout the shift.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during peak hours.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Participate in training sessions for new kitchen staff as needed.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- A passion for the culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques in meal preparation.
