Aon is looking for a Project Manager for our solutions team within pension administration. The team works closely with clients and internal teams to implement solutions for clients and manage internal projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a project manager looking to familiarize themselves with pension administration, OR an experienced pension administration colleague with proven project management abilities.
This can be a hybrid or virtual role occasional visits to our Montreal or Toronto offices, as well as Canadian clients.

What the day will look like
The Project Manager works closely with clients and internal teams:
Develop, maintain and implement a clear project management plan, including planning, execution and control
Direct and coordinate project activities, deliverables and schedule
Help to build an integrated project schedule, which includes the entire scope of the project, to effectively drive results leveraging the client, project team, and leadership
Collaborate with stakeholders and review the schedule, status reports, issues, and mitigation plans
Identify variances, work with SMEs to develop proposed corrective action plans, and immediately bring up project variance to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
Control scope by implementing and monitoring a change control process and support team with project management

Skills and experience that will lead to success
The Project Manager is an extremely detailed self-starter, can self-manage their workload and projects, and adapt to the audience and evolving priorities.
Bachelor’s degree (preferably in project management, business administration, math, or finance) or equivalent work experience
PMP certification or intention to acquire it
Project management work experience, an asset
Pension administration experience, an asset
Strong interpersonal skills, especially specific to persuasion, influence, and negotiation. Has a track record of being able to influence indirect parties and shared services functions to accomplish client objectives
Collaborative approach
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills
Bilingualism (English and French), highly desired
