**About Potash**

BHP’s Jansen Potash Project, located approximately 140 km east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is BHP’s first and most advanced potash project. Jansen will add diversity and a Canadian presence to BHP’s global portfolio. Jansen’s large resource endowment provides the opportunity to develop it in stages, with anticipated initial capacity of 4.35 Mtpa. The BHP Board has recently sanctioned Jansen Project (Stage 1), with a US $5.7 billion investment. The project is now entering the construction phase, with the first potash expected in 2027.

**Purpose**:
Reporting to the Manager Maintenance Execution Mining, the Electrical & Instrumentation Lead provides leadership to a team focused on the management and delivery of maintenance execution activities (maintaining equipment, processes and/or infrastructure).

**About the Role**:
In this role, you will:

- Ensure safe, quality work execution of trades and contractors
- Drive business improvement through the measurement of BHP's performance
- Plan, schedule, execute and review maintenance work orders and activities to maximize efficient production across BHP
- Prepare for and execute maintenance activities, carry out post execution tasks and eliminate defects to facilitate reliable and efficient maintenance operations across BHP
- Control contamination across the organization through structured and disciplined handling, storage and disposal of consumables and contaminants
- Define shutdown objectives, scope and schedules, mobiles shutdown resources, and executes shutdown activities to safeguard production and maintain the safety of maintenance operations at BHP
- Translate corporate objectives into actionable plans, communicating, managing and analyzing the implementation of those plans, and reporting back on their progress to facilitate the delivery of our strategy
- Identify and assess risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Support the management of vendor/customer selection, contracts, and performance to maximize operational and financial outcomes and mitigate BHP's exposure to risk

**Work Location**:
This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK with a rotational work schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off.

**About You**:

- Saskatchewan Journeyperson in Electrical or Instrumentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is considered an asset
- Red Seal Certification
- Mine Supervisor Certification
- Certified Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW)
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing teams and overseeing projects
- Experience in potash mining is an added advantage
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude for building and maintaining strong relationships
- Operates effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
